What we measure
Vic Rec Guide uses Google Analytics to understand visits, referring websites, device types and engagement with the site and its focused guides. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes usage information, including approximate location derived from your IP address.
02 / Boundaries
What we leave out
Participant age entered in the activity finder is used in your current view. It is excluded from shared links and analytics. Shared finder links can contain public search and filter choices, so review a link before sharing it.
Plugin links use fixed source and feature labels to distinguish plugin-referred arrivals. We count deliberate guide actions, such as opening details, changing calendar views, following official sources and choosing subscriptions. We do not send the selected occurrence, facility, date or link URL. A fixed referral feature label can remain in this tab for thirty minutes of inactivity; it contains no visitor identifier. Analytics blockers and privacy choices make attribution incomplete. An official-link activation does not prove a booking.
We do not enable Google signals or advertising personalization. We do not send names, email addresses, schedule search text or selected filters. Page addresses exclude query strings and fragments, and referring addresses are reduced to their website origin.
03 / Your choice
Control analytics
Google Analytics uses browser identifiers/cookies under its own policies. At the September 30 review, event-level retention was two months and existing user-data retention was fourteen months with reset on activity; aggregate standard reports can have different retention. We do not join these browser identifiers to plugin metadata.
Analytics does not load when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. You can also use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The guides work without analytics.
