Growing Young Farmers

Bring your child to the Sandown Centre for Regenerative Agriculture in North Saanich for a weekly after school program. Youth will explore a working farm and outdoor classroom, gaining hands-on experience in sustainable food systems and food literacy. They will harvest and taste vegetables straight from the ground, learn about insect and plant life cycles, and gain an understanding of soil. This immersive program connects youth directly to where food comes from and how healthy soils grow healthy food, through engaging, real-world outdoor learning.
