Teen Strength Foundations: Advanced Fundamentals
Take your strength training to the next level with this four-week advanced fundamentals course designed specifically for teens. Participants will learn and refine the essential movement patterns that form the foundation of safe and effective weight training, including squatting, hinging, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Through expert instruction and hands-on practice, athletes will develop proper technique while gaining a deeper understanding of body mechanics, posture, and movement efficiency. Each session will build upon the previous week's skills, progressing from movement quality and control to more advanced strength-training applications using free weights and functional training equipment. Week 1: Foundations of Strength Technique fundamentals Week 2: Hinge and Lift Force production through the hips Week 3: Push and Pull Upper-body pushing and pulling patterns Week 4: Strength Integration Combining movement patterns into complete training sessions This course is ideal for teens participating in sports, looking to improve athletic performance, or seeking to build confidence in a weight room environment. No previous weight training experience is required, and participation in this course will grant participants their Regional Weight Training Membership and access to all participating Recreation Center Weight Rooms.
