Make a Mug

A mug is more than a vessel; it's a daily ritual, a small piece of earth holding warmth, comfort, and intention. In this workshop, you'll shape clay into a form that feels right in your hands, coaxing it into becoming your perfect mug and handle. Then, bring it to life with your own markings, textures, and colour - a reflection of your spirit in ceramic form. Each piece emerges utterly unique, infused with the maker's touch. Sipping from something you've made yourself never loses its magic. In this workshop you will learn how to: -roll out clay slab -create a slab cylinder -attach a base using scratch and slip -create simple handles -decorate with simple textures and glazes -finish surfaces to minimize sharp areas -optimize the functionality of your piece This is a relaxed, 2-hour hands-on experience where you'll leave with something unique and entirely your own. All materials provided, with small class sizes and patient instructors. Part one is creation, and part two is glazing. After your workshop, return for a glazing session (included in the price and booked directly with the studio). Your finished piece will be ready in 2-3 weeks.
