Understanding Self-Regulation: In Life & Movement
A monthly series of 90-minute workshops that explores the concept of self-regulation - our ability to recognize, respond to, and appropriately adapt to internal and external stimulus or demands. Many people are trying to add exercise into an already stressed schedule and state of health. Without addressing this underlying current reality (and our history), even well-intentioned movement can become a further strain on the body rather than a support to health. This session highlights how the nervous system shapes our posture, breath, and overall well being.
