Meditation - Creating a Path to a Peaceful and Happy Mind (R/D)

Creating a Path to a Peaceful and Happy Mind. Although everyone has a mind, most of us only have a vague understanding of its nature and functions. If we are unaware of the different types of mind, how they are generated, and what effect they have on our lives, we will not be able to distinguish beneficial minds from non-beneficial minds, and we won’t know which minds to cultivate and which to abandon. In this series we will discuss Buddha’s teachings on the mind and meditate on states of mind that lead to peace and happiness Sept 9th - Mindfulness and Distraction Sept 16th - Cause and Effect Sept 23rd - Love and Attachment Oct 7th- Anger and Patience Oct 14th - Suffering and Acceptance Oct 21st - Self and Other If space allows patrons can drop into this class.
